Good Evening :) I'm going to propose we recruit Robert Clark to become a Gentoo Developer. He's a long-time friend and I've worked with him on previous projects at University; he's been using Gentoo for 2+ years and his talents include being a damn decent C programmer and having a knack for Java & C++, plus a bit of Python to boot! I am primarily recruiting him to maintain app-admin/logsentry (which is maintainer-needed) and assist with other security and log monitoring apps. Quite a few of them (app-misc/jail, etc) are also maintainer-needed; however, Rob is also very keen to branch into other areas of Gentoo later, particularly the auditing aspects of -security work :) In the past Rob has assisted users on #gentoo, to the point he's had a 'gentoo/user' cloak on IRC for >12 months now. I feel he'd be a great addition to the familia Gentoo. I'm willing to mentor him, and I've suggested he start looking at both the quizzes required for a new ebuild developer. Thanks, Alex
No need to restrict it ..
Oops, hadn't noticed I'd restricted it :) Seems to be on by default (if you have the magick foo) and maybe that should be fixed? If so, I'll prod jforman. You going to be picking this one up phreak? I expect Rob will have quizzes completed for review shortly :)

You're our one-man recruiting army! kloeri might have to implement a freeze if you have a 'Real Life Calls(TM)' moment like blubb :D @rob: If you get a free moment (in between that fancy CERN job, doing your quizzes and archery), take a look at the outstanding issues with app-admin/logsentry in Bugzilla and I'll be happy to commit some fixes for you.
Hah, received the quizzes and the ssh key today. Will look over them tomorrow.
Just reviewed his quizzes and except some small hints I already shared with Rob, I can approve them.

Robert showed no bugzilla activity since 2007-06-08 and no CVS acitivity since Jun 15, 2007. I'm starting retirement procedure.
Robert has just announced his retirement on gentoo-core@. He is busy with his degree and doesn't have time for Gentoo until he gets it. Infra please start retiring him.
Infrastructure side of retirement has been processed. Sorry for the delay.
