Most of the shadow man pages use the word "super user", where "superuser" is the correct form.  See the site of opengroup.org.  The patch makes shadow conform to the "superuser" spelling, which is also used by the majority of other man pages.

Yes, sure, the patch should really be sent upstream.  I've mailed it there twice. 
He does not answer.  (The patch is against CVS, not the latest release.)

you e-mailed the upstream shadow list or the shadow dev himself ?

To the dev himself.  There is a shadow mailing list?  ...  Okay, found it.  (Why must one google to find this?  Normally po files mention where to send bugs.) Have subscribed and will send it there.
