w00t! Anyone want to scrap up an ebuild?
Created attachment 101422 [details] nvidia-drivers-1.0.9629.ebuild
Ok.. These new drivers are giving me a major headache. I'm having the same issues I had with the 9626 drivers with these ones. I am getting a major slow downs in all 3D/OpenGL apps. My fps in games dropped on average of 30fps. I can't even play UT2004 at all, it lags so bad. In GlxGears I dropped a whole 5k fps! I usually get 13k with it on my 6800gt. For now I went back to the 9625 drivers since everything works perfectly fine. Is any one else having slow down issues with these drivers and the old 9626 ones?

Hi, btw, zander's smbus patch is not needed anymore.
@adam : is the slowdown related to aiglx or you get slowdown even without aiglx and with a modified xorg.conf (modified following infos for this release)? If you get issues in any way, you can try to fix ebuild as per bug #145910, then emerge nvidia-xconfig ( bug #129446 ).
I created my own ebuild for by copying the 1.0.9626 ebuild and removing all of the epatch lines. The ebuild worked fine and the new driver is also working fine. For me much better than 1.0.9625 or 1.0.9626.
Checked in to CVS. Enjoy.
