Description Oleg Titov 2006-11-05 15:05:09 UTC
Hi,
I have strange behavoir with asterisk-1.2.13.1 init.d script - if I start it with default options (run asterisk as user asterisk) when I get loaded only about 20 modules and program is useless (need to mention that I can load manualy all modeules in asterisk in this case); if I change options in /etc/conf.d/asterisk and run it as group asterisk and user root I see that asterisk loads all modules (about 100).

I am unsure if I do something wrong or my installation is broken, or the default config file is broken.

Your kind comments are highly appreciated, regards.

I think I have the same problem. I can't verify if asterisk is loading any module but its not starting up correctly as long as running as asterisk. When configuring to run as root everything works fine.

Did you try debugging from the command line like: asterisk -U asterisk -G asterisk -vvdf
