I used bastille for the first time and I got several little bugs : 1) every user, at login, got the following message : "erreur de configuration - élément « PASS_MAX_AGE » inconnu (avertissez l'administrateur)" which means : "configuration error - element « PASS_MAX_AGE » unknown (warn administrator)" In /etc/login.defs, bastille had replaced the "PASS_WARN_AGE" value by "PASS_MAX_AGE". Replacing it back by "PASS_WARN_AGE" solves the problem. 2) bastille didn't detect that the grub prompt was already protected by a password (encrypted with md5) and suggested me to enter a new one... in clear text. 3) No man pages were installed. I don't know if this is normal. 4) (Indirectly related to bastille :) I get an error message when I start /etc/init.d/psad : "send-mail: Cannot open mail:25 Can't send mail: sendmail process failed with error code 1" I don't know where this problem comes from. I'm using bastille-firewall, which doesn't prevent traffic on port 25... Regards, Julien

Okay, pushed 3.0.9 with a couple fixes here. 1. login.defs modifications are now up-to-date in 3.0.9. 2. There's currently no good way to truly fix this, so I've simply added a warning to the questions file (which displays the prompt) for the grub.conf modification. 3. The new ebuild now installs manpages as distributed. I will probably patch the distribution in future releases (if there are any, such as a fixed 3.2.1). 4. This is actually unrelated, and at first glance appears to be a misconfiguration of ssmtp, which is a dumb MTA that relays mail through another server instead of handling local delivery. Thanks.
