Description Sam 2006-11-02 07:00:51 UTC
I added my regular user the vmware group, and tried to launch vmware, but I just get this:

sam@phoenix /opt/vmware/workstation/bin $ ./vmware
./vmware: line 85: /etc/vmware/locations: Permission denied
./vmware: line 177: /lib/wrapper-gtk24.sh: No such file or directory
./vmware: line 177: exec: /lib/wrapper-gtk24.sh: cannot execute: No such file or directory

But, root can run it just fine.

did you log out and back in after adding yourself to the vmware group? What is the output of groups?

I apologize; I didn't logout before I tried again. It works now that I have logged out.
