I'll try unmasking dbus-glib to see if it resolves the issue.

Cheers,

Alan.
Comment 1 Alan Jones 2006-11-02 07:02:20 UTC
Ok - unmasking and emerging dbus-glib fixes the problem - so it seems it just needs the extra dependency.

I also noticed my dbus was unmasked which I hadn't remembered doing.

Cheers,

Alan.

Don't unmask packages without expecting breakage.
Comment 3 Alan Jones 2006-11-03 01:30:03 UTC
sure thing, but shouldn't I report it anyway? Otherwise how do you know it's ready for unmasking?
Comment 4 Doug Goldstein (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-11-03 05:50:41 UTC
because I know it's not ready for unmasking since the mask message specifically says it's currently not going to work.... And because I know where the issues are.
Comment 5 Alan Jones 2006-11-03 06:31:39 UTC
alrighty - my bad. It said needed testing so I was just trying to do my bit. Apologies for the wasted time.
