Both current versions are required as drftpd-1.1.4 supports importing from glftpd (currently in portage) while drftpd-2.0.4 had the feature removed. Developer recommends installing 1.1.4 then upgrading to 2.0.4 to import from glftpd http://www.drftpd.org/index.php/Glftpd_convert We also have Kftpgrabber which supports Distributed FTPs, but I don't think we actually have any FTP daemons that support it in the portage tree. Program is also released under GPL-V2 unlike GLFTP which is closed source.
Note: someone has already made two of drftpd's dependencies: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=92771 new ebuild for dev-java/martyr-0.3.9 and http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=92763 new ebuild for dev-java/stax-1.1.1
Created attachment 105351 [details] drftpd-2.0.4.ebuild start. Ive only written a start to this ebuild as I am not comfortable with the many useflags/init scripts that are going to need to be written. It would be nice if someone who really knew about ebuild writing could help out.
Created attachment 105352 [details] Oops ignore the last start.
request for it here too :P http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-409668
seems this request hasn't turned into an ebuild yet. If you want to help with it, it's not that hard to write one: http://devmanual.gentoo.org/quickstart/index.html If you need further help, feel free to ask on forums or #gentoo-dev-help or #gentoo-sunrise on irc (latter is also useful if you want to maintain the app yourself) note: we're not turning you down for this request in any way, it's just that we don't have ressources to fix all of them. though if you're willing to help, it would be more than nice to do so, as that is what we definately need :)
Hmm, yeah i think i forgot about this. Ended up using something else instead.
