This happens every time I try even after emerge -e world

my guess is your host env is screwing things up ...

run `emerge fontforge >& log` and post the log as an attachment

also, what is in /usr/local/lib/ ?

Comment 3 Joseph D. Wisniewski 2007-02-08 13:29:46 UTC
This is what is in usr/local/lib:

libintl.a libvdk.so.1 libvdkcompo.so libvdkcompo.so.1.2.5
libvdk.so libvdk.so.1.2.5 libvdkcompo.so.1
Comment 4 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2007-02-08 17:04:11 UTC
well that explains it
Comment 5 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2007-02-08 17:04:27 UTC
that cruft in /usr/local/lib/ is screwing up the build
Comment 6 Joseph D. Wisniewski 2007-02-09 13:06:59 UTC
Can you tell me how I can fix the problem, please?

> that cruft in /usr/local/lib/ is screwing up the build

it follows logically that you should delete the cruft that is screwing up your build
