Description Richard Scott 2006-11-01 10:39:18 UTC
Hi,

I've noticed that when using the latest 2.6.17 kernel you have to make an addition to the livecd.conf as follows:

boot/kernel/gentoo/packages:
        cbqinit
        htbinit

This enables the install to compile these packages at the same time as the kernel as they seem to now need the linux source tree to be there.

Hope this helps in your next release as it confused me for a while. I could not figure out why things had started to fail and it seems that recent versions of these cbqinit and htbinit packages look for the kernel in a different way.

The GNAP project has been discontinued, its removal was acknowledged by steev.

If you need to, you can contact the Gentoo Embedded project; more information about the Gentoo Embedded project can be found on the following link:

http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/base/embedded/

This removal happens as part of project cleanup by the Gentoo Council's members.
