I can't seem to reproduce this issue and have a very similar set up here. What is the output of env from within the tinderbox environment? As I have 'QMAKESPEC=linux-g++' set in the environment by /etc/env.d/45qt3 I believe. It seems this variable is missing in your environment for some reason.

I can't reproduce, I haven't seen anyone else mention similar problems and without any response there is nothing I can do. It looks like a bad build environment to me or messed up environment variables.
