I'm working on setting up a LVM/Raid system (LVM _in_ raid, not raid in LVM). I can't seem to use the liveCD to mkraid; # mkraid /dev/md0 cannot determine md version: No such file or directory # my /etc/raidtab: raiddev /dev/md0 raid-level 1 nr-raid-disks 2 nr-spare-disks 0 chunk-size 32 persistent-superblock 1 device /dev/hda1 raid-disk 0 device /dev/hdb1 raid-disk 1 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. boot from live cd 2. setup raidtab file 3. format partitions & mark as raid (fd) 4. run 'mkraid /dev/md0' Actual Results: cannot determine md version: No such file or directory Expected Results: it would blood work. :) Here is what both hda & hdb are setup as: Disk /dev/hda: 255 heads, 63 sectors, 12161 cylinders Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 bytes Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/hda1 1 3 24066 fd Linux raid autodetect /dev/hda2 4 1278 10241437+ fd Linux raid autodetect /dev/hda3 1279 12161 87417697+ 8e Linux LVM Here is most of my dmesg: : arbitration: 00 .... This should be fixed in our latest experimental livecd in experimental/x86/livecd/. I'll close this bug -- if the latest experimental livecd doesn't work, feel free to reopen this.
