This may be working as intended, but it's pretty easy to fix.

Reproducing Steps:
1. Disconnect all mice
2. (to be ultra sure: delete file /dev/gpmctl)
3. run installer-dialog
4. installer-dialog will fail with File not found gpmctl

Steps to work around:
1. # touch /dev/gpmctl
2. run installer-dialog as usual

added
touch /dev/gpmctl
to the installer-dialog script.
hopefully this will fix this issue for the time being.
