I almost always get a 404 error for these packages, or incorrect hash.

What about not changing the topic completely? coreutils downloads just fine here, so unless you tell us which mirror and show us how's it broken -> WORKSFORME.

I attached the output when I try to emerge the package. I mainly get 404 errors, and sometimes 403 errors thanks to our proxy. The last item in the file, it downloads the file, but it is corrupted. I tried this at home yesterday with the same results minus the 403s. Any ideas?

For get it! I just ended up manually downloading the file and copied it to /usr/portage/distfiles/.

I thought it was stupid that I manually had to download it to get portage to work again!
