Description Jens Ott 2006-10-23 06:07:12 UTC
Hi,

we are running a public Mirror (gentoo.intergenia.de) for a while. Until now we synced the portage-tree from rsync.de.gentoo.org but for a while we seem to be listed as "abuser" and only get the info to not sync that often.

Therefore we kindly ask for access to master portage mirror to keep our portage-tree sync every 30 minutes as described in http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/rsync.xml#local.

Our portage-mirror runs under rsync://gentoo.intergenia.de/gentoo-portage

Please do not hesitate to contact me if there are further questions.

Best regards
Jens Ott

Jens,

My sincere apologies for not getting to this earlier, I missed the bug entirely :(

I ran a quick check and things look okay :

Rehi,

sorry, I didn't read your reply earlier. Mr. Klausmann added permissions for more often syncing from his source.

Therefore we are sync now. Anyways it would be great to sync immediately from rsync1 and also become part of rsync.gentoo.org/rsync.de.gentoo.org.

Kind regards
Jens

Looks good.

Thanks for helping out Gentoo. I have added the IP you specified in the bug to our access database, please start syncing to rsync1.us.gentoo.org per our Rsync document at http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/rsync.xml. We would like you to subscribe to the gentoo-mirrors Mailing List by sending an email to gentoo-mirrors-subscribe@lists.gentoo.org, as we send our notifications of updates, releases, and changes in policy to the mirrors. Once again, thanks for the hardware and bandwidth!

Please also monitor http://mirrorstats.gentoo.org/rsync as this application is used to keep track of the up-to-date nature of our mirrors

For Infrastructure,

Shyam Mani

You are mirror rsync4.de.gentoo.org in the rsync.de.gentoo.org rotation.

Hi!

Unfortunately, it seems we still can't sync from rsync1.us.gentoo.org. We didn't notice that problem for quite a while because the sync from rsync.de was still working and meanwhile responsibilities for the mirror environment changed :o(

Our syncing ip is 217.172.171.254 (please note that this differs from the public ip of our mirror frontend nodes as the syncing stuff is handled by a different machine). Please add this IP to the access database so we can switch over to rsync1.us for syncing.

Thanks in advance,

Guido

Missed this since it wasn't re-opened.

Added the new ip. Reopen in case you still see issues.
