That's odd. squid group is created by net-proxy/squid, which is in squirm's RDEPEND.
Do you have net-proxy/squid installed on your system? If so, what was the error displayed when it tried to create squid group?

If I were to install from binpkgs it would be valid to install RDEPEND after the program compiled/installed, so I think squid should be in DEPEND too. Otherwise you cannot assume that the group already exists.

Since this is from an automated run I don't have all that information, I assume that the ebuild broke because my build system assumes that only DEPEND needs to be merged for building and RDEPEND can be merged any time later.

Fixed by promoting net-proxy/squid to compile-time dependency.
