Description adam 2006-10-22 13:37:16 UTC
I just did an world update and found that Gaim 2.0 Beta 4 brakes Gaim-Xfire 0.60 plug-in. Gaim will not start up with the Xfire account, and if deleting the Xfire account and try adding it again, it does not show up in the account creation.

Gaim has segfaulted and attempted to dump a core file.
This is a bug in the software and has happened through
no fault of your own.

If you can reproduce the crash, please notify the gaim
developers by reporting a bug at
http://gaim.sourceforge.net/bug.php

Please make sure to specify what you were doing at the time
and post the backtrace from the core file. If you do not know
how to get the backtrace, please read the instructions at
http://gaim.sourceforge.net/gdb.php

If you need further assistance, please IM either SeanEgn or
LSchiere (via AIM). Contact information for Sean and Luke
on other protocols is at

This belongs upstream with maintainers of xfire plugin not a gentoo issue.

Gaim-xfire upstream will no doubt be releasing a version soon that will work with gaim-2.0.0_beta4 until then unfortunately there isn't much that we can do.
