Description Radko Lazarov 2006-10-22 03:22:15 UTC
I just upgraded to cpufreqd-2.2.0-r2
removed /etc/conf.d/cpufreqd as required.

But cpufreqd doesn't work again.
I found that in /etc/init.d/cpufreqd there is mistake in parameter CONFIGFILE
it is set to /etc/pufreqd.conf insted of /etc/cpufreqd.conf
I fixed it and tried again to start it:

lf:~# /etc/init.d/cpufreqd start
 * Caching service dependencies ...                                                                                                                                  [ ok ]
 * cpufreqd requires the kernel to be configured with CONFIG_CPU_FREQ
 * Make sure that the appropiate drivers for your CPU are available.

grep CONFIG_CPU_FREQ linux/.config
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ=y
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_TABLE=m
# CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_DEBUG is not set
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_STAT=m
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_STAT_DETAILS=y
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_DEFAULT_GOV_PERFORMANCE=y
# CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_DEFAULT_GOV_USERSPACE is not set
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_GOV_PERFORMANCE=y
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_GOV_POWERSAVE=m
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_GOV_USERSPACE=m
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_GOV_ONDEMAND=m
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_GOV_CONSERVATIVE=m

so what else I have to do to be able to use it?

try loading the userspace governor before you start cpufreqd

Looks like Peper fixed that already.

Hello , could you please tell me what exactly to do?
Which module do you want me to load, I'm not sure what do you mean with "userspace governor".
Thank you
