Description Onkobu 2006-10-22 02:39:02 UTC
Today I solved a minor problem with fonts and had to remove y2k.ttf. Maybe an expert can explain it more detailed to me:
1. installed (years ago) some free fonts, y2k.ttf, too

I figured out that y2k.ttf calls itself «Arial,Year 2000» that differs from «Arial» so there should be no collision at all but when formatting text in OpenOffice with Arial it is rendered as Year 2000, Arial Italic and -Bold work fine. A font cache problem, problem while parsing with that comma-separator between Arial and Year 2000 in y2k.ttf?

(to leech y2k.ttf visit http://desktoppub.about.com/cs/fonts/p/free_fonts.htm and search for y2k.ttf)

Report this to the author of the font, we really can't support $random fonts leeched somewhere.
