I guess this was fixed by upstream (in the code - not the configs) in 1.0.6a. Hence the sed in src_unpack() should be removed for that version. Otherwise you get this error message: "Invalid colour specification for setting color_patch (no) in /etc/colordiffrc" Thanks.
