Hi, I'm using the portage test feature for now but i'm not more able to compile glibc again. Really, doesn't the message [math/tests] Error 2 help you ? It is where the compilation test stopped, isnt'it ? There is also this bug in sourceware.com/bugzilla: http://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1384 which was apparently fixed for powerpc, but it looks like it's showing again for AMD64.

Antonio - that's a completely different failure; please raise a separate bug.
src_test() is not supported in versions older than glibc-2.5-r1 ... if that version fails a test, then open a new bug report with relevant information
This problem still seems to occur with glibc-2.5-r2, I've opened a new bug 177300 for it as requested.
