Amarok has consistently crashed on startup for about half a year now. I'm a bit tired of it being unusable, so here's a bug report :-). I don't get a KDE backtrace window (and even if I did, those are completely useless under Gentoo, for some reason?... Anyway). When started from a console, this is what amarokapp has to tell. ============================================ QLayout "unnamed" added to QVBox "unnamed", which already has a layout QLayout: Adding KToolBar/mainToolBar (child of QVBox/unnamed) to layout for PlaylistWindow/PlaylistWindow Amarok is crashing... Running: gdb --nw -n --batch -x /tmp/kde-root/amarokrjBbuc.tmp amarokapp 27850 Running: file `which amarokapp` 1.4.3 [___stripped][validity: 0.47][frames: 38][xine] Amarok has crashed! We are terribly sorry about this :( But, all is not lost! Perhaps an upgrade is already available which fixes the problem. Please check your distribution's software repository. ============================================ I've cleared Amarok's user data directory before running it, so it's not because of a bad podcast, corrupted DB or something like that. It does get as far as recreating collection.db and a bunch of other files before crashing.
http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/qa/backtraces.xml We also need amarok version, emerge -pv amarok output and emerge --info.
