Bug 151794 – gcc-4 should be masked on uclibc/x86/2.4 profile

"embedded" profile uses a 2.4 kernel, but this kernel cannot be compiled with a gcc version >= 4
i suggest to keep 3.x series of gcc on embedded profile

Maybe you could point to the file that forces 2.4 kernel? I can't. If you mean a different profile, then you should state so.

http://sources.gentoo.org/viewcvs.py/gentoo-x86/profiles/embedded/2.4/ installs a 2.4 kernel!

i don't want 2.6 kernel on my ambedded profile, and with gcc-4.x 2.4 kernels desn't compile!

in http://sources.gentoo.org/viewcvs.py/gentoo-x86/profiles/embedded/2.4/ is needed a mask for gcc >=4.*

There' no embedded/2.4 profile, really don't see what are you talking about here.

it installs a 2.4 kernel AND gcc-4.*

last i heard 2.4 kernels have no problem with gcc-4
