This is an exact analog to bug #14863

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

net-mail/cyrus-imap-admin-2.1.11-r1 ebuild has the same bug.
Comment 2 Nick Hadaway 2003-02-07 15:24:21 UTC
kerberos 4 support is not compiling properly with cyrus-sasl
I have disabled kerberos4 support in the latest 2.1.12 series.
Consequently I have enabled kerberos5 support until I can get compile
issues resolved. Check out the ebuild and you will see a comment
I left regarding this.
Comment 3 Nick Hadaway 2003-06-10 01:09:15 UTC
cyrus-*-2.1.13 has been added to portage
Comment 4 Clemens Schwaighofer 2003-06-10 22:08:00 UTC
I got a problem with krb5 (now?). due a emerge -u world I get this:

There are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Calculating world dependencies |
emerge: there are no masked or unmaksed ebuilds to satisfy "virtual/krb5".

!!! Problem with ebuild dev-libs/cyrus-sasl.2.1.13
!!! Possibly a DEPEND/*DEPEND problem.

!!! Depgraph creation failed.

I have krb5 installed, kth-krb (kerberos4 from KTH) is not installed
Comment 5 Nick Hadaway 2003-07-09 02:56:08 UTC
the default package for virtual/krb5 is app-crypt/heimdal for x86... are you on a different platform?

I have tested cyrus-*-2.1.14 with both app-crypt/heimdal app-crypt/mit-krb5 which are both valid providers of virtual/krb5 and it works fine. Please test with this new ebuild. If there are no problems I will mark 2.1.14 stable for x86 real soon now as the ebuild has matured from the previous version

This is no longer valid and way too stale. If problems persist in newer versions, please re-open.
