Agave is a color scheme designer for the GNOME Desktop http://home.gna.org/colorscheme/ This is an initial ebuild; it works for me, but I'm sure it can (and must) be improved (for example, I use a "test" USE flag, because I don't know how it works the FEATURE=test).

Sorry for the double attachment; my mistake.
Works for me on ~amd64. Why'd you put in -*, though? It doesn't seem particularly block-worthy.
I thought it was the normal policy for untested architectures.
Created attachment 104212 [details] Changed agave-0.4.1.ebuild Agave seems to work fine for me on ~amd64 and ~x86. I've made a few changes to the ebuild: - added ~x86 - lowered requirement for gtkmm since agave will work with >=2.8.0 - removed the gconf USE flag since it is not used at all, and folded this functionality into the gnome USE flag
What category are you putting it in? app-gfx? other?
Oops, I meant to say media-gfx.
Tested on ~x86, no problems.
also tested as agave-0.4.3.ebuild on ~amd64 and it works nicely

I just reinstalled my system and agave failed to build, gconfmm is a requirement: checking for GCONFMM... configure: error: Package requirements (gconfmm-2.6) were not met: No package 'gconfmm-2.6' found
Created attachment 141711 [details] version bump I simply updated the 0.4.1 ebuild to work with 0.4.4 release from 01-14-2008. It compiles fine on ~amd64
0.4.4 emerged fine on amd64. Nice little app.

hi, i just tried to install agave on my _kde_ desktop, and ran into some trouble with missing packages. i don't know what's the most sane way to do it, but i had to pull in the following packages by hand to it to _configure_: app-text/gnome-doc-utils gnome-base/libgnomeui dev-cpp/gconfmm compiling still fails with weird errors, looking into this. in any case, the deps need updating!
ah, okay, the compile error i got is gcc 4.3 caused, see https://gna.org/bugs/?11937 here's a patch and an updated ebuild.

Commit please
(In reply to comment #21) > Commit please We won't commit this unless someone steps up and takes maintainership of agave. Simple. And please try to avoid sounding rude, we're not your string puppets. Thanks
Created attachment 170831 [details, diff] Syntax fixes to Nico Schlömer submitted ebuild. If Mr. Schlömer could maintain this package, maybe someone can proxy maintain this. If this can't be done, the ebuild could be submitted to sunrise overlay.

Version bump to 0.4.7 (http://groups.google.com/group/colorscheme-devel/browse_thread/thread/233df9613132062d), but a simple renamed agave-0.4.4.ebuild (http://bugs.gentoo.org/attachment.cgi?id=141711) worked for me here (that was the version that was still on my computer). I suppose the newer fancier ebuilds should work as well.
