Description Rajiv Aaron Manglani (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-02-04 19:09:07 UTC
during install i emerged grub. then i changed my mind and ran 'emerge unmerge
grub'. during the unmerge the /boot mountpoint was deleted.

/boot/.keep should exist to prevent this.

az, baselayout issue?
Comment 2 Martin Schlemmer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-02-05 09:39:34 UTC
Well, not really. Baselayout creates /boot in pkg_postinst(), and also
the /boot/boot symlink. It should be in theory thus not get unmerged,
except if grub touch the /boot/boot symlink ....
Comment 3 Martin Schlemmer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-04-06 11:05:03 UTC
Added a .keep.
