Don't actually know if this is a bug or something I do wrong, but I get the message that I should report it. Function src_compile, Line 118, Exitcode 2 !!! problem compiling Apache2 :( ----snippety----- Expected Results: It'd be great if I managed to get it apache compiled and installed. I'm running an i586 system if that helps. got mcpu="i586" in make.conf. I've tried emerging apache three times now with the same results. Before the last try I recompiled the kernel with the vanilla-sources (2.4.20) without improvement. (Used Gentoo-Sources before.)
Oh... almost forgot. The gentoo-sources I used before was 2.4.19. GCC is version 3.2.1 (3.2.1-20021207)

Hm... have been messing around and tried som stuff and I'm starting to believe it's my system that's causing the error. I cannot update GCC either... and emerging Xfree is definitely out of the question. In fact, I cannot emerge pretty much anything at all. I'm gonna re-install the entire system and see if the problem exists after that. It might take a while since my comp is pretty slow.
/me shakes head.
Ah well... Reinstalled the entire system and now it's working.
