some more info: the icons are installed to /usr/share/rhythmbox/art/*.png this dir is not in the XDG_DATA_HOME / XDG_DATA_DIRS
neither hald nor dbus was started (its a new system). files upstream as http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362656
