I've been building a small rootfs image, and the size of Eterm's included backgrounds has been causing me to miss my target size :/ I'm hoping you'd consider including the attached patch that simply makes the Eterm-bg usage selectable on the minimal use flag. This is also advantageous to users who only operate Eterm in transparent mode, as obviously the images aren't used in that case. Normal size is: $ qsize eterm x11-terms/eterm-0.9.3-r4: 104 files, 19 non-files, 3207.294 KB Minus backgrounds package [with patch]: $ qsize eterm x11-terms/eterm-0.9.3-r4: 52 files, 19 non-files, 1896.784 KB It causes no noticeable problems apart from README.backgrounds listing some files that aren't installed. Yep, there are easy workarounds on my end but I figured I'd try submitting this as the patch is really non-invasive. Thanks, James

Created attachment 99403 [details, diff] eterm-0.9.4-no_fat_backgrounds.patch And for good measure a patch relative to the 0.9.4 ebuild, because the 0.9.3 one creates conflicts.
thanks, added to cvs !
