/etc/fstab:
# /etc/fstab: static file system information.
#
# noatime turns off atimes for increased performance (atimes normally aren't
# needed; notail increases performance of ReiserFS (at the expense of storage
# efficiency). It's safe to drop the noatime options if you want and to
# switch between notail / tail freely.
#
# The root filesystem should have a pass number of either 0 or 1.
# All other filesystems should have a pass number of 0 or greater than 1.
#
# See the manpage fstab(5) for more information.

# NOTE: If your BOOT partition is ReiserFS, add the notail option to opts.

# glibc 2.2 and above expects tmpfs to be mounted at /dev/shm for

/dev/sdb6:

contains a ext3 filesystem, but the folder "lost and found" is writeable for normal users. It is not write protected and access restrited for root.

Please state the command and error message.

BTW, your fstab is incorrect - only / should have a pass number of 1, the rest should either be 0 (don't check) or 2 (check)
Comment 2 Armin Mohring 2006-10-11 06:03:15 UTC
There is no error message.
"lost+found" is the journal folder.
Comment 3 Roy Marples (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-10-11 06:10:14 UTC
So do this

cd /data
rm -rf "lost+found"
mklost+found

And voila, it's back.
