Well, I *can* replicate your problem here. I'll take a look into it and possibly remove the package from the tree if I can't find a fix for it.
Comment 2 Mark Kowarsky (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-07-25 13:09:06 UTC
It built fine for me on ~x86.
Comment 3 Fredric Johansson 2007-08-17 17:40:36 UTC
I have the same problem here on my new install, Its fails with the same error as the reporter. But it works on the old install which has the same package-keywords as the new (copied make.conf and /etc/portage* from the old to the new). It somewhat weird that it work in one and not the other

The problem seems to be the call to:
It expects a previous installation of the package.

Both functions are called in the postinall part of the ebuild.

If anybody could point me to the process documentation/howto on updating the package, I'd be happy to add to the patch.
Comment 5 Jaroslaw Kalinowski 2007-11-05 22:54:14 UTC
I had the same bug. Seems that was due to the fact that while fvwm-themes-0.7.0-gentoo.patch removes some lines from Makefile.am this lines are still present in Makefile.in. After generating Makefile.in from patched Makefile.am I was able to install this package. Patch for Makefile.in is provided below.

Comment 7 Noah Sheppard 2008-01-02 15:54:40 UTC
Are there any plans to integrate Jaroslaw's patch into the ebuild?
Comment 8 Jesús Guerrero Botella (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-01-03 21:00:03 UTC
This ebuild is still failing to build in one, and another, and another system.

Please, patch it.
Comment 9 Evil Compile Person 2008-01-06 00:46:18 UTC
over a year and not fixed :(

Comment 10 David Shakaryan (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-01-06 08:58:12 UTC
Should be fixed now. Thanks, Jaroslaw, for the patch.

I would also like to apologise for the delay.
