Description Alastair Mailer 2006-10-09 08:37:37 UTC
The ebuild for dev-java/prefuse is very out of date - The ebuild is dated January 2005 while the latest release available at prefuse.org is July 2006. Note that the homepage listed in the ebuild seems also to be out of date - it points to the old page at prefuse.sourceforge.org. The release is also now beta, not alpha as the ebuild version seems to be.

This project is really useful for anyone wanting to visualise any kind of network. I don't currently have the knowhow/time to learn the knowhow on how to update the ebuild, or I'd do it myself. :)

A proposed updated ebuild

I've tried my hand at updating the ebuild and submit my efforts. It is my first ebuild though, so likely to be quite ugly! I removed the jikes useflag as compilation failed for me with jikes.

It would probably also be useful to have "src" and "demos" useflags to prevent them from being compiled if they are not needed.

Version bumped using generation 2 and added source and examples use flags. I slotted it to 2006 because they have changed their package so this version is not api compatible.
