Description Paulo J. Matos 2006-10-09 08:00:28 UTC
I have several icons on desktop and _sometimes_ when I right click an icon, the desktop freezes. KDE keeps running as usual, but desktop is not refreshed anymore.

Is there any info I can attach to help track down this bug?

Comment 2 Matteo Azzali (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-10-09 11:51:13 UTC
Hum, you already tried to re-emerge kdesktop, did you, right?
Do you have any similar behaviour in konqueror? (try to
open /home/user/Desktop folder and rightclick there....).

Seems quite strange as the context menu for rightclicking an icon on the
desktop should be exactly the same for doin it in konqueror....
Comment 3 Paulo J. Matos 2006-10-09 12:24:27 UTC
Kdesktop seems to be blocked by kdebase. Moreover, nothing happens if I do it inside Konqueror. But in the desktop after 2 or 3 times it blocks as usual. There are times when I cannot even right-click the desktop once with success.
Comment 4 Charlie Shepherd (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-11-24 19:50:48 UTC
Is this still an issue with kde-3.5.5?
Comment 5 Paulo J. Matos 2006-11-25 02:57:15 UTC
It seems that it doesn't happen anymore with 3.5.5.
