Description Camille Huot (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-10-09 07:23:27 UTC
I received an email from Vincent Marchand, he wrote an addon documentation to the HPPA handbook to improve the read of the installation procedure, which whould suffer of some inconsistencies(?).

His documentation is here: http://www.yaronet.com/artA.php?ex_id=101 (click on the page number to navigate)

It's written in FRENCH.

He invites us to gather every information we want to integrate to the HPPA Handbook, he may provides us a shell.

Subject: Gentoo HPPA

Bonjour,

Cordialement,

Vince

Some parts of the documentation is global and some is handled by us.

It may be that overtime, some inconsitencies occured.

I tried to read the pages but the content is all private. So it won't help much.

Could you provide access to it ?

Note that it comments on an outdated French translation.
Patches against the current HPPA handbook,if required, would be much ppreciated.

Also, is this stuff for the English version, or for the French version? If it's a translation, some [fr] summary love would be appreciated.
Comment 6 Camille Huot (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-10-17 02:24:28 UTC
It's for the original version.
Comment 7 Guy Martin (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-01-11 21:38:41 UTC
I went trough the whole doc.

This is not a correction to the handbook but more a diary of a Gentoo install on a C3600.

If you think that something needs to be changed in the documentation, tell me exactly what needs to be changed and why.

In the meantime I'm closing this bug.
