I did remove .twinkle on mine and it crashed after creating a profile in the wizard. Hope this worked for you.
Well, I haven't used the wizard for setting up my profiles, but I tried it just now and it works for me.
found segv problem solution: http://www.xs4all.nl/~mfnboer/twinkle/faq.html#crash_startup re-emergeing commoncpp2 ccrtp twinkle worked for me even with the old configuration. Added this hint to pkg_postinst(). Thanks for the bug report.
