Description Martin Slota 2006-10-07 03:36:05 UTC
I get this error with the in-kernel driver:

# ethtool -s eth0 wol g
Cannot get current wake-on-lan settings: Operation not supported
  not setting wol

The external driver works great for me. I'm complaining about this mainly because it is masked and is going to be removed from portage, see bug #145525.

my emerge --info:

WOL is supported in b44 as of 2.6.18
