Description Simon Strandman 2006-10-07 01:07:45 UTC
Binutils 2.17.50.0.5 has a bug that makes binaries large on amd64. There is a patch on the binutils list that fixes it. I applied the patch and recompiled some stuff and they where reduced in size. A lot of people are using the -* binutils for .gnu.hash support so I think this patch should be applied in gentoo.
