Hello,

One notable package that is missing is idutils, it's quite important to browse and search the source of large C projects. So I tried to create an ebuild for it an exercise to see how ebuild works.

Hope it's all right, seems to work for me, so I thought to publish it.

Thanks for the ebuild.  Hard to believe that Gentoo doesn't include this by default.

Tested on plain old Pentium box, works as expected.

I agree it is an important package.  Many other distros ship with this by default.  Perhaps we can add it?

I guess we don't have a maintainer for this package, that's why it's not in portage.  I can volunteer to be the maintainer, but I am not an official gentoo developer yet.  Maintaining the package should be easy, however, since it's an official GNU package.
