Comment 1 Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-10-05 11:10:29 UTC
Disable pam_console module from /etc/pam.d/login.
Comment 2 Marco Gusy 2006-10-05 11:16:16 UTC
looks already commented out

gentoo marco # grep console /etc/pam.d/login
# If you want to enable pam_console, uncomment the following line
# and read carefully README.pam_console in /usr/share/doc/pam*
#session optional pam_console.so
Comment 3 Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-10-05 11:34:42 UTC
Then look for other files in /etc/pam.d that might have pam_console.
Comment 4 Marco Gusy 2006-10-05 14:32:54 UTC
Thanks a lot, it worked!
Comment 5 Marco Gusy 2006-10-05 14:37:09 UTC
By the way is it a good idea to have pam_console enabled or it is not?

the pam_console enabling files was /etc/pam.d/kde shipped with kde-base/kdebase-pam-4
