When opening calc, impress, draw, the applications open in what looks like the old Star Office desktop (can't be minimised, etc). This occurs whether invoked as oocalc2, /usr/lib/openoffice/program/scalc or even /usr/lib/openoffice/program/soffice -calc. (Using calc as an example.) Web, math, base and writer all open in the desired (normal window) manner. Window manager is Fluxbox. Do you have a screenshot which illustrates the problem?
(In reply to comment #1) > Do you have a screenshot which illustrates the problem? > Normal behaviour from writer: http://www.smiffysplace.com/files/writerss.jpg Behaviour typical of calc and others: http://www.smiffysplace.com/files/calcss.jpg Close calc using X at top right, we are left with OO desktop: http://www.smiffysplace.com/files/oodesktop.jpg

Anyway: Could you please post this upstream, as we take the binary directly from openoffice.org, there is nothing we can do about that... http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/
