Description Max Lorenz 2006-10-02 08:31:48 UTC
Hi, kdissert-1.0.6c hangs reproducibly at the last file "[137/137]" and the "python ./waf" process just idles at ~2% CPU usage. I can't even stop it with CTRL+C but have to kill the python process manually to get back to the shell.
Also I noticed this at the beginning of the merge:
[...]
>>> Unpacking source...
>>> Unpacking kdissert-1.0.6c.tar.bz2 to /var/tmp/portage/kdissert-1.0.6c/work
tar: miniwaf.tar.bz2: Cannot open: No such file or directory
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
tar: Child returned status 2
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors
>>> Source unpacked.
>>> Compiling source in /var/tmp/portage/kdissert-1.0.6c/work/kdissert-1.0.6c ... [...]

TIA, Max

I was not able to reproduce this with either MAKEOPTS="-j2" or MAKEOPTS="-j5" + distcc. It compiled and installed fine (version kdissert-1.0.6c).

I used both gcc-3.4.6 and gcc-4.1.1

Uh, how exactly does it fix the unpack failure?

I think it doesn't fix it because I tried 1.0.7 and it still fails. As far as I understood the unpack failure should have been fixed in version bump 1.0.6c -> 1.0.7. The file is just missing, it is not in the SRC_URI...

Indeed, it doesn't. Since version 1.0.6c miniwaf.tar.bz2 is obsolete and no longer supplied by upstream. I've removed src_unpack as unpacking that waf-thing was its only purpose.
