Description Hans de Graaff gentoo-dev Security 2006-10-01 08:28:32 UTC
I have been using drivel 2.0.2 for many months on both x86 and AMD64 without any issues, and there are no open bugs for it.

Version 2.x also has support for a lot more blogs than the currently stable 1.2 versions, not to mention many bug fixes. Furthermore, while development has been stalled for some time, it has now been picked up again, so new versions will be forthcoming (see #143808 for an updated ebuild for the new version 2.0.3).

I've used drivel; worked nicely. I'd like to see 2.0.2 stabilized as well, so that we can get 2.0.3 into the tree, because it has proper support for some things in livejournal/blogger that underwent drastic changes in the past few months.
Comment 2 Hans de Graaff gentoo-dev Security 2006-11-11 00:03:41 UTC
If 2.0.3 isn't in the tree yet due to lack of maintainers than I would be willing to take up maintainership and update to 2.0.3

Well, I see that you marked 2.0.2 stable on AMD64 (much thanks), and I've been trying out 2.0.3 on that arch. Works like a charm. Completely stable so far (though I'm still early in the testing process). All features work as advertised, and there are more than in 2.0.2. I'm very satisfied with 2.0.3; no build failures, errors, or USE flag problems. :)

Add relevant arches to CC. Arches, could you please have a look and stabilize version 2.0.2?

net-misc/drivel-2.0.2 USE="spell -debug -rhythmbox"
1. emerges on x86
2. passes collision test
3. works (didn't test to post anything as I don't have such an account)
