i did an emerge -up world, which included upgrading perl. now alot of my gimp

guides and all the scripts under "Alpha to Logo."

i have tried unmerging and remerging gimp, but nothing seems to make a difference.

perl: 5.8.0-r9
gimp: 1.2.3-r3

this bug is the same as 14975.

Did you run /usr/portage/sys-devel/perl/files/libperl_rebuilder after perl was upgraded? You may need to remerge a dependency of gimp. Are there any error messages from the console that you can paste?

i did a libperl_rebuilder, then unmerged and merged gimp, and it did the trick. everything is working beautifully now.

thank you for your help. sorry i didnt know about libperl_rebuilder before.
