Description Hayama Yossihiro 2006-09-28 19:39:05 UTC
KERNEL=="hd[a-z]",BUS=="pcmcia",DRIVER=="ide-cs"

when using pcmcia flash memory, no device is added.

Don't restrict bugs without any reason. Just leave the checkboxes alone.
Comment 2 Greg Kroah-Hartman (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-10-05 13:31:15 UTC
So what do you want to see happen here?

For pcmcia flash memory, the kernel can not handle being probed with the udev id tools, it sets up a chain reaction of hotplug events that do not stop.

It's a known kernel issue that can not be fixed due to the way the hardware works :(

Closing CANTFIX wrt Comment #2; feel free to reopen if you have a fix that doesn't make hotplug go mad. :)
