Description Sebastian 2006-09-26 15:04:35 UTC
Hi all,

pdf docs are displayed much smaller than they should. Say I got a letter A4 then it looks more like A5 on the screen. I checked with other apps like kghostview (same pdf) and kdvi and they all display the dimension correct at 100%. When using kpdf I have to go to ~140% to get the proper size.

I usually test this by holding an A4 paper against my monitor. X has the proper DPI info.

I understand kpdf is patched by Gentoo to use poppler. I tried both the stable poppler/poppler-bindings-0.5.3 as well as 0.5.4. Behaviour is still the same (=wrong). I didn't try if kpdf without the Gentoo patches gets the dimensions right.
Regards
Sebastian

Confirm this is an issue with kpdf from kde-base/kdegraphics-3.5.5-r2

I suggest marking this as UPSTREAM, as this is a known kpdf bug: <https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=101449>
Comment 3 Jorge Manuel B. S. Vicetto (RETIRED) Gentoo Infrastructure gentoo-dev 2007-05-30 23:25:13 UTC
According to comment #2, I'm closing this bug as upstream.
