Howdy.. Please find attached gksu.tar.gz containing gksu-0.9.1.ebuild. gksu is a Gtk+ frontend to /bin/su. It supports login shells and preserving environment when acting as a su frontend. It is useful to menu items or other graphical programs that need to ask a user's password to run another program as another user. gksu can also act as a frontend to sudo. It installs a link /usr/bin/gksudo, which you can call to use this feature. When using sudo, gksudo respects /etc/sudoers definitions. I suggest app-admin/gksu Also, this ebuild depends on GTK2. This program is much nicer then xsu. Works really great with sudo and scripting. Laterz. Kevin Ford Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.

Spider, weren't you talking about something like this ?
yes, This could well be in the interests here.
*** Bug 45844 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
gksu-1.1.1 is a result of a split into an interface API, a librarie and a standalone application. As such, does bug 45844 really qualifies as a duplicate of this bug? I mean, obviously, 3 ebuilds are now needed.
shouldn't this bug be closed since there already is a x11-libs/gksu package in the stable portage tree??? and it's version is 1.0.5, so newer that the present ebuilds here?
Sure, looks like dragonheart forgot to close this bug.
