Description Christopher Weldon 2006-09-23 14:51:43 UTC
The following directories were installed with improper permissions:

/var/spool/asterisk/voicemail
/var/spool/asterisk/voicemail/default

Both were installed with 0640 permissions, when they should have been installed with 0750 permissions. Issues with voicemail recording occurred as a result of these permission problems, and as soon as I corrected their permissions my problems went away.
Comment 1 Christopher Weldon 2006-09-23 14:53:49 UTC
Additionally, the /var/lib/asterisk/sounds/digits directory was installed with 0640 permissions, causing problems with accessing the digits/* sounds.

fixed in 1.2.13-r1

Although I didn't make any change regarding the alleged issue, I've marked as FIXED because I assumed version 1.0.11_p1 had this problem.
However, judging after current cvs version of asterisk-1.0.11_p1.ebuild, I don't think the ebuild was to blame for your directory permissions.
