Description Grzegorz Moroz 2006-09-23 08:53:47 UTC
Everytime Realplayer starts playing, Alsa PCM Capture Volume jumps to 100%. I've set that Volume to 0. When I start Realplayer it's still 0. It jumps up to 100% when I start playing something (i.e. audio file, Internet radio stream) and stays like that even when I stop playback/close the app. When I set it to 0 and stop and start playback, it jumps up again (even without restarting the player - just pressing stop/play).

Summary: Starting playback causes PCM Capture Volume jump to 100% (just starting the app doesn't)
Reproducible: Yes, everytime.
Version of player: Any, including the newest (10.0.8.805)
Version of Gentoo profile: Any, including 2006.1
Arch: ~x86

Current Specs: AlsaMixer 1.0.12 (same problem with previous versions), Card: Audigy1 [SB0090], Chip: TriTech TR28602

Behaviour problems with RealPlayer has to be reported upstream, because we can do nothing to it, being a binary proprietary application.
