Description nicolas.weeger 2006-09-23 03:08:11 UTC
Hello. After emerging gcc 4.1.1, i tried to emerge glibc 2.4-r3. But then the build failed saying i had a kernel version too old. I'm using 2.6.17-r4, and it said needed >=2.6.9!

I had other kernel versions installed in other slots, and after removing them it worked fine.

So seems kernel version detection isn't correctly working...

Can you paste the actual error message? For glibc-2.4 you also need to add "nptlonly" to your USE flags, you're missing that one / have a typo there (you have "ntplonly" instead of "nptlonly").
