If realplayer is installed for the first time and SCIM is activated, realplay will crash: /usr/bin/realplay: line 75: 8801 Segmentation fault $REALPLAYBIN "$@" If SCIM is deactivated, realplayer starts without problems, after this, all subsequent starts are not crashing anymore, even when SCIM is activated (as long as .realplayerrc exists) This looks similar to another bug in Acrobat reader: If i start Realplayer with: GTK_IM_MODULE=xim realplay I also have no problem with crashes.
Addition: with .realplayerrc existing, realplayer will start but crash if you go to preferences. setting the GTK_IM_MODULE to xim seems to work fine.
Sorry, we can't fix binary-only stuff, report that upstream.
